Susan de Vlam says her daughter can’t wait to go back to the dentist after an amazing first experience at Dentico!
Young Lucille de Vlam was nervous before her first visit to the dentist. More so because she needed a tooth extracted. From what she’s seen and heard, this could be a painful process under the intimidating lights and dreaded chair!
However, along with her mother Susan, they went to visit Dr Nichole Hendricks at Dentico. And after walking through the door at Stratford Avenue in Eerste River, Lucille quickly realised that there was nothing to fear!
“When we arrived at Dentico, we were treated with friendly service. This made us comfortable from the beginning,” said Susan.
“We then entered the surgery and Dr Hendricks was very nice to us. She has a kind voice and we had a good conversation before Lucille sat in the chair. This helped her feel at ease. It’s nice to see Dr Hendricks working so well with the youth.”
After the extraction, Susan said her daughter didn’t complain about any pain.
“With it being Lucille’s first visit to the dentist, I was worried – like any parent would be. But Dr Hendricks took good care of her. Overall, it was a positive experience. I’ve already passed on the word to all my family and friends about the great treatment we received at Dentico. Dr Hendricks has become our family dentist!”
Susan added that Dr Hendricks’ positive approach to the youth will encourage more young people to take care of their dental health.
“In our communities, we see the visits to the dentist as a negative, but it’s important for our children to take care of their teeth. As a mother, I want my children to have healthy teeth,” said Susan. “With Dr Hendricks working so well with the youth, more kids will be motivated to visit the dentist, which means healthier teeth.
“I’d recommend all parents to take their children to Dentico.”
